The Paragon adventures of DMC continue on 10th June 2011 at Games Garage. (the day that DM's iPhone became iSwim for a few seconds)
Party comprises of Thor (played by Alvin), Kai (played by Eugene), Zaratul (played by Marcus), Illidian (played by SC), and Mobius (played by Edmund)
The session begins with the party creeping down to the lower depths of the ruins in Ooltul. They bump into two Oblivion Wraiths that seem non-hostile at first and no one wants to make the first move. However, with the appearance of a Sharn, a battle ensues and Kai avoids all combat by running to the end of the cavernous hall to search through a pile of rubbish. Kai is hesitant if he should aid his comrades in battle or search through the rubble, but a voice speaks to him telling him to search through the rubble, which he does finally and find a huge hoard of treasure and one of the missing parts of the rod.
With that, Kai quickly runs out and urges the rest of the party to leave.
Upon their return to Relourn, the party bring hope and faith to the Refugites when they manage to bring down the hungry-power Llarn and he turns insane and mad. He runs out of the village and Kai dispatches him out of sight from everyone. The party stays in Relourn for a week - where Illidian and Mobius learn some new tricks from Lorkel. The party leave Relourn - a village changed through the influence of the party.
The tavern is now called Zaratul's Soulful and the name of the gnome is inscribed on the wall at the walkway into the kitchen. The barmaid's hankerchief is given to Zaratul, which he gracefully accepts.
Illidian has started a new church of Selune amongst the Refugites, with followers increasing in numbers as the weeks pass.
Kai has managed to convince the Refugites that not all Drow are evil.
Mobius has influenced Karn greatly and the young Refugite aspires to be a great magic-user and a great leader for the Refugites in time to come.
And Thor remains the awesome superhero he is, where the Refugites know they can never become like him.
As the party head towards the Mines of Tethyamar, they veer off course and bump into a group of Kuo-Toa and after defeating the creatures - Thor discovers that there is a long deep cavernous hole at the bottom of the lake. But the party decide to carry on their path to the Mines of Tethyamar.
Will the party survive the journey to the ancient dwarven city? What lies beyond? What lay before?
The next session is in a week's time, til then...
