DMC begins their paragon adventures in Westgate. The party gets embroiled in the politics of House Bleth supported by the Fire Knives – Lord Jaundamicar and the Shou District – Goku of the Nine Golden Swords. Fighting on the streets led to the party meeting up with Lord Jaundamicar and whereby they had to act as spies for the lord to check on Goku.
Remarkable events include hanging out at Korvar’s Ale and the Oriental Peony Pavilion.
Tas’sadar managed to discover his Scurvy Manta and a battle fought with the Shadovar led to the victorious reclaim of the pirate ship.
Adventuring into Kisonraathiisar allowed Mobius to realize that dragons don’t necessarily hoard treasure as the dragon chuckled at Mobius, “What makes you think dragons also have huge treasure in their lairs?’ Kisonraathiisar made a pact with the party that he would aid them in their fight against the evil forces of the Netheril.
And disturbed by dreams, the party follows the trail of Sorjarskae when they meet a group of vampires which they managed to defeat (without much ease).
Eventually, the party decide to venture in the chambers of Lord Jaundamicar and it is in the dungeons of the manor that the party face a Acererak Construct and Gond and Tas’sadar are killed… leaving Mobius as the only surviving original member of DMC.
But all is not lost as Mobius and the rest meet up with a drow and gnome at Korvar’s Ale. Kai and Zaratul join Mobius and the rest of the party on a journey to the Ruins of the Starmantle – as advised by an elderly wizard for Mobius to take the test.
Before gaining entry into the ruins, the party meet up with a green dragon who allows them passage provided they share the spoils of the profit with him.
Within the ruins, the party realizes that this is actually a temple that used to be a place of worship to Mystra and a battle was fought here between the acolytes of Shar and Mystra. The party face one of the most gruesome forces ever in the ancient grounds of the holy battle fought years ago and put their might against the Pit of the Abandoned Regiment.
Eventually, when the party defeats –
As you lay to rest the disturbed souls of the ancient regiment, you begin to turn away and head out of the ruins. However, you hear a shimmering sound and you turn around and see a mirage of a beautiful maiden with long gold flowing hair. She seems to be insubstantial and hovers above the remains of the regiment and there is something very peaceful with the aura emanating from the maiden. And at the same time, you feel a strong presence of raw powerful arcane energies gathering in the room.
A feminine voice resonates in the room and it seems as though the maiden is speaking, “Brave adventurers. The Gods thank you for resting the souls of the wretched regiment to rest. No more shall these tortured souls rise again to haunt the living. Seek the rods and destroy all evil. For Mystra no longer resides in the planes, but her essence remains. Amongst one of you, shall be the chosen one to carry on the works of Mystra. But the path is treacherous and easy to fall from grace… Rest well, brave ones… “ With that strong radiant energy surrounds you and you feel all fatigue removed from your body and soul.
As the light dissipates, floating in the middle of the ruined chamber you see a staff floating in the air with radiant energies emanating from it.
It is a Staff of the War Mage +4
Eventually, when the party emerges from the ruins, they manage to escape the green dragon with a feint and make their way back.
In the final episode, the party decide to investigate the tower at the moorlands where after defeating a magic-user, the party step into a portal and are teleported to the Underdark.
