they're a tad bit bigger
their base is about tat of a 2x2 mini.
but if u remove the base, they can fit into a 25mm (1x1)

i'm assuming that the size of the form itself is bigger than our D&D minis too?

yes the actual mini size is slightly bigger than the D&D minis as well.
