At a young age Farier remembers living in a large city, which he later learnt to be Calimport of Calimshan. His mother and father were both air Genasi like himself. From the little he can remember, they must of been people of power, they lived in a large two storey house along with his sister and a few servants. Often old Genasi dressed in large robes would come to talk to his mother and father, but he was too young to understand of what. However all that changed suddenly late one night, when his father burst him into his room looking very panicked. His father told him they were leaving and he needed to pack...
As a family they traveled many months and eventually settled on a small farm. They lived a simple life for many years, Farier's father taught him a little of what he knew of magic in breaks between tending the fields.
However it was not to last, as once again on another fateful night when Farier was 16, his family's small house's door burst open in a ball of flames. Suddenly his family was surrounded by fire genasi demanding that his father and mother come with them. His parents fought back, and for the first time while hiding under the table with his sister, Farier saw just how powerful his parents were, summoning and controlling the elements to do their bidding. Although the intruders were losing the battle, suddenly one manager to grab his sister and hold a flaming knife to her throat. His parents reluctantly surrendered and agreed to leave with the fire genasi, who would take the sister as a hostage. His fathers last words to Farier were to wait at the house, they would return.
Farier waited 5 days for his family to return, until it become clear they would not. Farier decided it was up to him to find them, but he was not powerful enough and find allies. So he packed and left his farm not looking back. Shortly down the road, he found the now long dead body of his mother discarded to the side.
