A short document that compiles the information from the 4th edition Eberron Player's Guide into a primer document for the background of the place. Of course the Player's Guide will still be a nicer read, with nicer graphics etc, but this is more for people who don't have access to it. More important to note will be the stuff on the main continent of Khovaire, and the Dragonmark Houses. I intend the Dragonmarks and the politics of the Houses to play a more important role in the campaign. Attachments:

I was just wondering.... How do I create a Gundam in D&D? Ok not Gundam per se, but a machinery that is piloted by someone. I'm thinking... A small size halfing or gnome, and a Large Warforge Invoker but are there rules to make something large size?
That aside, which lands are Oriental enough for my Asian Bard with a Gu Zhen to come from? Previously I remembered this book called Oriental Adventures which states the closest nation to portray asians in Eberron was Sarlona.
I have 3 ideas in play, Asian bard playing a Gu Zhen, a Military officer (Warlord) on a secret mission or the above: a halfing who pilots a warforge or equivalent. I really wanna be a Gundam Pilot!!! It be cool to play a Large PC!

Yea I was trying to check to see where the Asian part of the world exists, Sarlona is quite far away from the main continent and exotic enough to be labelled as "Oriental". They are a land where psionics play a large role, and Kalashtar look fairly oriental, at least the way they are drawn in the EPG.
There no rules for creating a large PC, although I would say that the Gundam would be a highly specific warforged mount and your character would be a trained pilot. There are many places a large mount would not be able to traverse easily, although there would be obvious combat advantages fighting on it. Probably feats associated with some sort of mounted combat, and definitely require something like the House Cannith Mark of Making to operate..
However do note the campaign is likely to continue for some time so I guess its best not to have too wild ideas? Sounds cool but in actual play might not be =P

I be a ex-military experimental prototype warforged wizard created by House of Cannith to lead warforged soldiers. After decommissioning, wandering around to free warforges still being enslaved. Name: Gungrave Background: (+2 to Insight) Unstoppable Soldier, (focused to the kill) Commissioned Officer, (discharged from army, led warforged warriors) Experimental Prototype, (first of its kind in warforged wizardry) Recent Life - Freeing Slaves, (new mission found) Pivotal Event - Escape, (after being decommissioned, lack of purpose eventually led to newfound mission, leaving old military life behind) Early Life - Test Subject (experimented on to perform advanced military wizardry tasks, possess military personality quirks) If Jin plays the piloted gundam, I think I'm gonna attempt to liberate it LOL... Noted. Some additional pointers people might want to consider when fleshing out their character
Where you come from. Was it one of the Five Nations? Or are you from another continent, or even another plane? What part you may have had in the Last War. It was a war that engulfed Khorvaire for a hundred years that only ended 2 years ago. Why are you in Sharn? The campaign starts here, so everyone needs a reason to be here. What troubles have you had in life? What adventures have you been on? Did anything in particular lead you to become an adventurer? What are your characters goals, if any? Not everyone has any long-term plan, but are you perchance after someone, or trying to learn something? Do you follow a religion? Most of Khorvaire worships the Sovereign Host. Or perhaps you follow the Silver Flame, or the Blood of Vol, or the Undying Court? Think about your family. Almost everyone has one, so at least give them some thought. If you'd rather they be unimportant, that is acceptable. What connection do you have to the other players? It's easier to form a coherent group if there's a believable reason for them to travel together
