Summary:
Garl was celebrating with his mates at the Mighty Bear Song tavern and was rudely interrupted by a distraught woman by the name of Alfar who claims she was violated by nobles. Said noble was Prince Ordeth, Nephew of the King. He bullied his way in with his guards and was met with force by some of the patrons of the taverns, and was blinded in his left eye by a superb throw from Sorrvan. Bloodied and ego burst, he ordered his guards to beat the crap out of the poor innocent patrons of the inn, and them threw them into the city dungeons.
Inside the dungeons there was a gnoll by the name of Trundel who was caught and brutalized by the city guard. He did not like it. When a Mysterious Robed Figure came to offer the jailed patrons a chance of a clean slate, everyone accepted grudgingly but the gnoll refused. Thus the prisoners were dragged out to the Courts and given a sham trial, but the obstinate gnoll still refused the second offer. Garl saw a cunning opportunity to trick the the robed figure into accepting the gnoll with some spin on gnollish culture, which somehow managed to work.
So the MRF revealed himself to be Erzoured, the King's Brother who's actually amused we punished his son and gave us a chance to redeem ourselves. He wants Thomas Mallor a rogue agent of the Crown and leader of the Crimson Wolves to be brought to justice. He said 2 knights were going on a quest to defeat him, and that we should sign up with them. And with that we were set free! But given 5 days to complete the mission, or else.
So Garl went back to his Temple of Tempus, ashamed and disappointed at the lack of courage, dignity and honour in his fellow temple-mates and as well as his master. This made him reflect on whether Tempus is such an honourable god after all. Maybe he should write a letter to his mom and then convert to some other god, like Bahamut.
Anyway there was Sir Oris and Lady Korra of House Granfel and House Inyn respectively. Going first to Oris it turned out he was a methodious overthinker. The party was desperate and swiftly defected to the fiery Korra, who set off immediately. This of course created problems along the way as there was a half day delay due to an injury to her horse and Sir Oris overtook the expedition even thou he set off a day late. Either physics does not apply to Sir Oris, or clearly magic is at work.
Thus the expedition rushed off to the Stone Lands where Thomas is reported to be hiding. A search for a back entrance was fruitful, and some members of the party are not versed in the art of stealth, thus assaulting the front gate it was. After a brutal combat, the party prevailed and Garl is contemplating a career change.
