Aside to Alvin: I was actually expecting something more "droolworthy".

Virtual table for what? The whole idea why we play at games garage is for the old school, table-top, die-rolling experience. Might as well stick to other more cool online RPGs...

Virtual table for what? The whole idea why we play at games garage is for the old school, table-top, die-rolling experience. Might as well stick to other more cool online RPGs... I, for one, spent most of my early D&D days playing the game on online forums - RPing and battling online with players around the world. This initiative is probably more beneficial to others as an alternate medium to game across distances and at their own time. Moreover, I do not think it takes much effort to create such a product and such convenience does promote D&D's playability. On the otherhand, after having experienced table-top D&D, I do agree nothing beats the experience and spontaneity of an old-school face-to-face session to play D&D in it's entirety. As such, this program is definitely the result of a business proposition; but as long as WOTC does not convert all the materials into an online platform, I am not against them spending a portion of their resources to develop this product.
