History
Fie's origins is a mystery, but when Fie was young, he used to grow up in the outskirts of New Cyre. He was never allowed to use his powers of disguise and Fie never questioned why. All he knew was that he had to hide his identity as a changeling and he was strictly brought up to take the shape of a human. But Fie never had ambitions, he was happy with life in the bustling refugee town of New Cyre. Of course, he had plans to see the rest of Khorvaire and see the awesome beauty of those modern cities with locomotives engineered by arcane and alchemy.
When Fie grew older, he met Akashiya. She was a pretty half-elf who was an orphan. They eventually fell in love with each other and plans of marriage were spoken of. Although, Fie never revealed his identity to Akashiya.
But their fairytale was shortlived. On the last night of Eyre, when Fie and Akashiya were sitting by a lake, watching the glittering dragonshards that make up the Rings of Siberys. It was then that Akashiya revealed to Fie that she is afraid, for her family had arranged for her to be betrothed to a noble from the House of Phiarlan. Fie, upon hearing the news, was distraught and told Akashiya to elope with him, but she could not bring herself to.
Eventually the day came when the noble came for Akashiya. In order for Fie to get close to the event, for the first time, he changed himself into the guise of an elf. Using trickery, Fie managed to enter the premises of Akashiya's residence.
But as he entered, chaos shook the house as the whole household was in panic as they cried out that the young mistress had died of mysterious circumstances. Fie only managed to gather that when the noble left the quarters of Akashiya, Akashiya's younger sister had entered and found Akashiya motionless on the table with a goblet of red wine toppled over, as the liquid flowed over the edge of the table and dripped heavily onto the carpeted floor.
Fie managed to catch a glimpse of the noble and saw that he was a noble from the House of Phiarlan. The noble was unhappy with the events and stomped out of the house just as Akashiya's parents were mourning over the death of Akashiya.
It was all very chaotic and the events unfolded quickly. Fie could only remember the smirk on the noble's face. And Fie could only remember how he was chased out of the house when he wanted to go near Akashiya's body to hold her one last time...
Denied, alone and dejected... Fie's life took a turn and he has vowed that he will avenge Akashiya.
He will hunt down the noble and use whatever means - to find him. And for the first time, Fie took the shape of an elf that has a dragonmark belonging to the House of Phiarlan. Since the day he took the guise of the elf, he has called himself Elvinor d'Phiarlan.
Mannerisms and Personality
Fie is rather quiet and usually keeps to himself. Although when he needs something, he will use his diplomatic skills to get things done. In combat, Fie is ruthless and yet elusive. He will always attempt to hide here and there only to spring on enemies who are caught unawares. Fie has no qualms about killing people without them knowing.
Fie is emotionless and can be cruel. He worships The Traveller and really embraces the tenets of the religion.
The only time when Fie would seem to exhibit some form of genuine emotion is when he remembers Akashiya or something happens to make him remember her.
Fie trusts no one.
Current Situation
At the present moment, Fie is at the current town to look for more clues to hunt down the elf responsible for Akashiya's death. He has hooked up with the current party because he realised that he needs to source for more information and clues in order to ensure that he makes some progress.
As such, he had decided to stick with the adventuring group so that he can find out more and with the group, he could be able to gain some help if required. He does not reveal his true nature to the group. They all know him as Elvinor d'Phiarlan.
