you post a thread asking for applicants to apply to the position or Warlord or Cleric with the following criteria:
My party is currently looking for a replacement for our "irregular" warlord, who hardly shows up. We have a cleric, but he's recently moved to Yio Chu Kang, and will soon be enlisted for National Service. Therefore, there is a bit of pressure for you to show up every week, though we do understand that there will be times you will not be able to play.
While we are urgently looking for a "leader", there are certain requirements to be met, detailed below, along with the details on the campaign, and our location.
REQUIREMENTS
- Good understanding of the 4th Edition D&D rules. No prior play experience required, but would be good.
- Must be willing to play either a cleric or a warlord. Preferably devoted cleric or tactical warlord, but final decision is yours.
- Must be able to commit every Sunday, 1:30PM to 6:00PM, barring extraordinary circumstances.
- Must have completed National Service OR serving NS in a capacity that allows you every Sunday off.
CAMPAIGN DETAILS
Setting: Points of Light (default campaign setting).
Restrictions: PHB only, for the time being.
Character Creation: Level 4 (refer to DMG pg 143 for "Starting at Higher Level"); Ability Score - Methods 1 or 2; Alignment - Lawful Good, Good, or Unaligned.
Special: Enforced roleplaying, restricted Out-Of-Character chatter.
LOCATION DETAILS
My group is based at Kembangan Community Centre, just opposite the Kembangan MRT station.
We play on the 3rd floor, Activity Room 2. Has air-conditioning and the toilet is nearby.
Game starts at 1:30PM. End time can vary, but usually around 6:00PM.
There is free parking at the nearby HDB estate carpark on Sundays.
The CC also has a 7-11 store, and a cafe.
It is very important that you are able to show up every Sunday, more or less. This is due to two reasons. First, most of the regular players are at least level 4, so you'll need to show up every week to catch up. Secondly, once our cleric goes for his National Service, you'll be the only one who can heal thr party efficiently in combat. Missing a game once in a while is fine, but several games will result in you lagging behind in levels, and also endangering the party's well-being.
I apologize for being long-winded, but experience has taught me that it's better to look for a single good player who is willing to commit rather then accepting anyone that comes along only to have him "abandon" us for a month or two...
If anyone has any questions, please post them here or email me.
